Artist Profile:

Anupriya Deotale, daughter of legendary Hindi poet Prof. Chandrakant Deotale, considered among the top class of Violin players, one of the very few North Indian Classical violinists in India today, she is a disciple of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and Pt. Ramnarayan Ji.

Her own unique style of playing violin is clearly distinguished by sweetness of emotional depth of her music. She has received a senior fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. She has become the only Indian musician to receive the prestigious “Ustad Salamat Ali Khan & Nazakat Ali” award at Lahore (Pakistan). Anupriya is the first female classical musician to be Recorded for a program by the Pakistan Television.

Anupriya is an ‘A’ Grade Artist of All India Radio Station, established artist of the ICCR (Indian Council For Cultural Relations) and performs for the Spic Macay regularly.

Anupriya has founded Ameer Khusro Centre For Music to Promote the awareness, the knowledge and the cultural value of Indian Classical Music among the youth of India.
